Pengacara nyentrik Hotman Paris Hutapea memberikan uang sebesar Rp 50 juta kepada Yohanis Gama Marscahl Lau alias Joni (13), seorang anak yang nekat memanjat tiang bendera pada HUT RI ke-73.

Peristiwa tersebut terjadi saat upacara pengibaran bendera merah putih tengah berlangsung di lapangan Desa Silawan, kecamatan Tasifeto, Kabupaten Belu, sekitar 14 kilometer dari Atambua, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Joni yang merupakan siswa SMP, saat itu menjadi peserta salah satu upacara.

Hotman bertemu Joni di Warung Kopi Johny, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara sekitar pukul 08.30 WIB, Minggu (19/8). Ia datang didampingi ibu serta ayahnya, Lorenza Gama dan Viktorlino Fahe Marschal.
"Saya hanya bisa memberikan uang permen Rp 25 juta dan adik saya Duma Rp 25 juga juga, jadi kau beli permen Rp 50 juta," ujar Hotman kepada Joni.

Ucapan Hotman dibalas senyum sumringah oleh Joni. Keduanya lalu melanjutkan perbincangan sambil bercanda. Hotman juga menanyakan alasan Joni mengapa nekat memanjat tiang bendera saat upacara HUT RI di NTT.

"Siapa yang suruh kau manjat tiang?" tanya Hotman. "Nggak ada yang nyuruh," jawab Joni Singkat.

Setelah berbincang, Hotman mengajak Joni naik mobil Lamborghininya untuk mencari uang sebesar Rp 50 juta. Joni pun senang menemukan segepok uang tersebut dengan pecahan Rp 50 ribuan itu.

Siswa SMP itu juga sempat diajak Hotman merasakan berkeliling dengan Lamborghini. Setelah itu Joni yang kegirangan disuruh naik ke atap mobil sambil memamerkan uang di tangannya.

"Merdeka, merdeka," ucap Joni saat berada di atap Lamborghini orange milik pengacara yang dikenal dekat dengan perempuan-perempuan cantik itu.
